This easy guacamole recipe is made with just five ingredients and takes only 10 minutes to make. It’s delicious as an appetizer or on toast for breakfast.
I grew up eating avocados with sugar so it took me a long time to warm up to guacamole.
However, when I was in Los Angeles, I ate at a very nice Mexican restaurant and ordered Guacamole. After that I was hooked. I came home and tried to replicate their guacamole and it wasn’t very long until I got it.
Now, I make it at least once a week and my whole family enjoys it. Even my toddler, although he would prefer it if I didn’t add onions.
You only need 5 ingredients and 10 minutes to make this delicious guacamole!
It doesn’t even take much planning to put it all together and will impress any last minute guests!
Even if you already have a favorite Guacamole recipe, I beg you to give this one a try, you might just fall in love with it like I did.
- 2 ripe avocados
- 2 roma tomato diced
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro chopped
- 1/2 red onion diced
- 1 lime (3 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Chop all ingredients. Mash the avocado in a bowl, add all the other ingredients and enjoy!!!
How to ripen avocados for guacamole
It’s so frustrating when we want to enjoy avocados, but they are not ripe. But did you know, you can actually ripen avocados at home in less than 20 minutes?
Just wrap the avocado in foil and place it in the oven at 200F for 10-20 minutes. Check it for firmness every 10 minutes.
Take it off and let it cool. The avocado should be ready to be consumed!
